Berkshire Creative's blog announced the She's Got Moxie! honorees this morning...
Berkshire Creative co-founders Laurie Norton Moffatt and Ellen Spear will join council member Kelly Vickery, founder of the Berkshire International Film Festival, and Sara Katzoff, co-founder of the Berkshire Fringe Festival, as recipients of the First Annual Berkshire Festival of Women in the Arts She’s Got Moxie! Awards, to be presented March 13 by The Women’s Times.
“We’re thrilled to recognize these four women for their courage, verve and savvy,” says Eugenie Sills, founder and publisher of The Women’s Times. “Their achievements are significant: Berkshire Creative has changed the region’s conversation about art, culture, creativity and business, BIFF has put a new feather in the Berkshire’s cap with its high profile off-season festival, and the Fringe has diversified the region’s offerings and its appeal to new and younger audiences. The moxie of the women behind these ventures is inspiring—and worthy of celebration.”
The She’s Got Moxie! gala and presentation of awards will be held March 13 at 6pm at Founders’ Theatre at Shakespeare & Company. Watch for details at www.thewomenstimes.com.
